Automation Engineer (Lummen)
What will you do?
As an Automation Engineer, you are responsible for the automation and start‑up of installed systems at our customers’ sites. You are involved throughout the entire process: from configuration and programming to testing, fine‑tuning and user training.
- Responsible for the automation and start‑up of systems at customer locations
- Configuring and programming project‑specific functions and processes
- Testing software and performing calibrations
- Loading programs and fine‑tuning the software
- Training and supporting end users
- Monitoring budgets and delivery timelines
- Ensuring quality follow‑up and customer satisfaction
- Providing after‑sales service and remote support within the automation domain
- Continuously striving to improve the quality of delivered work
What do you bring?
- A Master’s degree in Electromechanics or a similar field
- Affinity with automation and electrical engineering
- Relevant experience is a plus, but not a requirement
- Strong technical insight and excellent knowledge of PLC machine control and programming
- Experience with one or more control systems such as Siemens (TIA Portal, Step7), Beckhoff and/or Allen‑Bradley
- Knowledge of process visualisation via SCADA/HMI
- Strong learning ability and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously without losing the team spirit
- A hands‑on mindset, proactive attitude and strong customer focus
- Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written
