Career Story Michal Slonina

Michal has over 10 years of experience as an engineer, starting his career in automotive and railway engineering, where he worked for four years.

In 2020, he moved to the Netherlands and joined ACE as a Mechanical Engineer, to work in a more technically demanding and international engineering environment.

He is currently working at ACE Poland as a Mechanical Lead Engineer, leading a team of engineers within high‑tech machine development projects for the semiconductor industry.

Since joining ACE, Michal has steadily expanded his responsibilities. Starting as a Mechanical Engineer, he progressed over the years to the role of Mechanical Lead Engineer, reflecting both his technical competence and leadership capabilities.

Today, he works on ASML projects, contributing to the development of high-tech EXE machines. In his current role, he leads a team of engineers, supporting them in their daily work while ensuring alignment on technical solutions and project objectives.

In the past year, he has returned to Poland and is now part of ACE Poznan, continuing his work within an international engineering environment.

A key factor in Michal’s development has been the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced engineers. Continuous collaboration and knowledge exchange have played a central role in expanding both his technical expertise and problem-solving approach.

Curious by nature, he has always sought to understand how systems work, asking questions and exploring solutions. Within ACE, he found an environment where knowledge sharing is actively encouraged and experienced colleagues are always willing to support others.

In addition to on-the-job learning, ACE has provided training programmes that have helped him further develop both technical competences and communication skills.

Throughout his time at ACE, Michal has collaborated with teams across Poland, the Netherlands, and Portugal. Regardless of location, he highlights the consistently high level of collaboration and support between teams.

Working with colleagues across different countries has shown that geographical distance is not a barrier. With the right tools and mindset, teams remain closely connected and able to effectively address technical challenges together.

Today, his team includes engineers from multiple ACE offices, and regular meetings provide space both for technical discussions and informal exchange, strengthening team collaboration.

Knowledge sharing is a strong pillar within ACE. Internal resources such as engineering handbooks and the ACE Academy provide accessible and structured knowledge for employees, particularly within ASML projects.

These tools support faster onboarding and help engineers build expertise efficiently, while also creating a shared understanding across teams and locations.
